Survival Island is a browser survival island elimination order randomizer for sports card breakers. Paste the buyers' names, pick a length, and every name gets a pixel art soldier on one island. The elimination order sets every spot.
How it works
- Paste names, pick a length, press START SURVIVAL. Every name gets a soldier, and everyone starts on the island.
- Soldiers roam the island while a storm closes in. Survivors go out two ways: tagged out in a skirmish, or caught outside the storm. Early on they go fast, a firefight or a storm surge at a time on big lists; the last ones go out one by one with the full scene. Small lists get bigger soldiers and a smaller storm. STANDINGS on the right shows everyone: the survivors still in, then the elimination order with each place. TRACK pins up to 3 names you want to follow; pinned soldiers keep their name tag and a ring on the ground.
- Every name has the same chance at every place. There is no skill and no favourite. Before the first shot, the seed shuffles all the names into one elimination order, and the island only shows it. Shots, dodges, the storm and who tags whom are part of the show and never change the order. The length never changes the order either: the same names and seed finish the same way in a 1 minute game and a 5 minute game. The same names, length and seed replay the exact same game.
- The final showdown: when two are left, the storm closes in and the camera zooms in for a face off. They trade shots until one is tagged out in 2nd place, and the last one standing wins.
Names, lengths and seeds
- Names: 2 to 500, one per line. A name listed twice gets a number and its own soldier, so every soldier is told apart.
- Length: 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes (3 is the default), or a custom time up to 60:00. A length too short for the field is raised to the minimum, and a length longer than the field can fill is capped; the setup screen says why.
- Verified draws and replays: every START gets a draw code from our server, shown with its draw time during the game and on the results. Open the code's link, or enter it with VERIFY / REWATCH, to see when it was drawn and watch the same game again. REPLAY on the results screen plays the same game again.
- STREAM MODE, or ?stream=1 in the address for an OBS browser source, hides the playback controls and the cursor.
- Keyboard: Ctrl or Cmd+Enter starts, Space pauses, 1, 2 and 4 set the speed, F is fullscreen, M turns sound on or off, Esc goes back to setup.
