Kaiju City Smash
Kaiju City Smash needs JavaScript. Turn it on to run a smash.
Kaiju City Smash is a browser giant monster elimination order randomizer for sports card breakers. Paste the buyers' names, pick a length, and every name gets a giant monster in one city. The elimination order sets every spot.
How it works
- Paste names, pick a length, press START SMASH. Every name gets a monster, and every monster starts in the city.
- Monsters pair off and fight until one is left standing, smashing buildings as they go. Early on the knockouts come fast, a whole wave at a time on big lists; the last monsters go down one by one after a full fight. Knocked out monsters are cleared away, so the field thins out and the monsters grow as it does. STANDINGS on the right shows everyone: the monsters still standing, then the elimination order with each place. TRACK pins up to 3 names you want to follow; pinned monsters keep their name tag in the city.
- Every name has the same chance at every place. There is no skill and no favourite. Before the first blow, the seed shuffles all the names into one elimination order, and the city only shows it. Blows, smashed buildings and explosions are part of the show and never change the order. The length never changes the order either: the same names and seed finish the same way in a 1 minute smash and a 5 minute smash. The same names, length and seed replay the exact same smash.
- The final showdown: when two monsters are left, the camera zooms in and they go head to head. The loser is knocked out in 2nd place and the last monster standing wins.
Names, lengths and seeds
- Names: 2 to 500, one per line. A name listed twice gets a number and its own monster, so every monster is told apart.
- Length: 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes (3 is the default), or a custom time up to 60:00. A length too short for the field is raised to the minimum, and a length longer than the field can fill is capped; the setup screen says why.
- Verified draws and replays: every START gets a draw code from our server, shown with its draw time during the smash and on the results. Open the code's link, or enter it with VERIFY / REWATCH, to see when it was drawn and watch the same smash again. REPLAY on the results screen plays the same smash again.
- STREAM MODE, or ?stream=1 in the address for an OBS browser source, hides the playback controls and the cursor.
- Keyboard: Ctrl or Cmd+Enter starts, Space pauses, 1, 2 and 4 set the speed, F is fullscreen, M turns sound on or off, Esc goes back to setup.
